I love the topsy turvy painting. It’s clever and pretty!

Very cool. It feels that way around here this week, like the green is feeding directly on the wet for nourishment.

I think it could be a great concept for a book… a book that you hold sideways, and it opens up and down. Each side of the spread could have mirroring items… Hmmmm…

Yes, hmmm…
Should I do this book, or YOU?
Have you seen the new book MIRROR, MIRROR: A BOOK OF REVERSIBLE VERSE? It’s a lot of fun. And on my to-read list is MIRROR, by Suzy Lee.

YES! I have seen “Mirror, Mirror.” Actually, I saw it years ago when they were looking for an illustrator. It was the most excited I’ve ever been about a manuscript. I would have loved to illustrate it. Obviously, I didn’t get the job, but I’ve had my eye out for it ever since, waiting for it to finally be released. Josee Masse did a great job with the art.
I’m also excited for Suzy Lee’s “Mirror.” AND she’s got another one coming called “Shadow” which looks equally great.

Just showed the image to my daughter…she thought it looks like a rain cloud putting stars down. 🙂

This is my absolute favourite from the entries for this week’s topic…the idea, the simplicity of the illustration…it just blew me away the first time I saw it, and I’ve kept coming back to look 🙂 Great job Deborah! Love your work 🙂

Thank you so much, Sharon & Roshini, Lil Kim & Maike – it’s fun to see what you can come up with just by sitting down and playing with paint, isn’t it?
